NEW ELASTIN INFUSION THERAPY USES
MICROCURRENT TO ENHANCE DELIVERY
TBI, Inc. of Colleyville, Texas, announced
an agreement with Nulastin, Inc. to provide
a new biotechnological skincare program
using as its main ingredient genetically
engineered Human Tropoelastin and enhancing
it’s delivery and incorporation into skin
with Iontophoresis using TBI’s MCR
microcurrent units. Tropoelastin is the
soluble precursor to the human matrix
protein, Elastin. Elastin is the second most
abundant protein in the skin and the one
that gives the skin its resiliency. In
humans native Elastin production is
inhibited or curtailed after the onset of
puberty. Thereafter Elastin is gradually
lost ultimately causing the appearance of
aged skin.
Nulastin was founded in 2004 to market and
develop genomic-based biopolymers based on
the research of Dr. Bruce Ensley. Dr Ensley
a PH.D in microbiology holds seventeen
patents relating to human matrix proteins
and is an often published author. “The human
skin protein Elastin is expensive and
difficult to produce, it has never been used
as personal care ingredients because of the
delivery and production challenges,” said
Ensley.
However, Tropoelastin is the precursor to
Elastin that penetrates the outer layers of
skin and replenishes lost Elastin. Using
sophisticated genetic engineering
techniques. Dr. Ensley synthesized the gene
for, human Tropoelastin gene and introduced
it into micro-organisms that then make the
Tropelastin. The resulting protein is
identical to human. Tropoelastin and is
functional in skin where it naturally
interact with other enzymes to become part
of the skin.
The Elastin Infusion Therapy is an
in-office, non-invasive, thirty minute
treatment using proprietary Tropoelastin
products and applied using Chiro950™ micro
current wands. It is estimated that one
treatment can replace as much as tow years
of lost Elastin.
In addition, patient home therapy
maintenance includes Dermalastyl products
that contain Tropoelastin and proprietary
peptides to both stimulate collagen
synthesis and replenish Elastin. No other
skin car product contains a
biotechnology-based, human protein that
functions in the skin.
A recent clinical study under the direction
of NYU’s Dr. Stephen Lamm included 35
subjects done using sophisticated laser
photography show significant results from
the use of Dermalastyl products in as little
as 6 weeks. Most participants reported a
youthful glow on the face, better hydration
lasing all day, positive skin texture
changes, and firmer skin with fewer visible
lines.
The Iontophoroesis lastin Infusion
Therapy is a painless procedure
estimated to return up to 2 years in lost
elastin during each treatment.
